Hello and welcome. My name is Eve and I am the Founder and Director of SEMHCO Ltd. I am a qualified Teacher of 21 years, a qualified SENDCo of 8 and, significantly, I have a recent diagnosis of ASC and ADHD having struggled with Social, Emotional, Mental Health issues for most of my life. I think that the significance of my diagnosis is that I have lived my educational and environmental experiences feeling unheard, under-valued and alone; at 41 I can manage that much more effectively through learned strategies and self-care but I cannot imagine at times what some of our young people think and feel in the battles associated with SEMH.
Having worked previously in Mainstream as a SENDCo for many years and currently in specialist provision on Senior Leadership I believe that there continue to be significant gaps in the provision offered to children and young people who have SEMH needs. SEMH as an area of need is highly misunderstood and many mainstream providers struggle to navigate this. Equally I recognise that there are so many interventions to support our young people that are not known, not utilised and not affordable in education and at home. I aim to support you in getting the help that is appropriate and effective for the children and young people that you work with and/ or look after.
I am registered with the BPS and have all relevant training to administer psychometric testing and train/ provide the support offered. Proof of qualifications can be provided.
